Where do you begin your search?

Before you begin your job search process, there are four aspects of career transition that you should be familiar with:

  • How much do you know about yourself in relation to work? What are your skills and abilities? What do you do best?
  • Are you seeking a traditional job (full time, 9 to 5), a new work relationship (contract, casual, part-time), or self-employment?
  • Do you know what occupations are out there? Do you know what work opportunities exist in your field? Are you aware of the future prospects of work in this field?
  • Are there other fields of work that you would find interesting? Are you aware of the future prospects for work in this field?

Making sense of all the information on the Internet requires a plan. The information contained on this site is a guide to assist you to explore your career options.
